The Client had recently acquired their competitor, the second largest geospatial imagery provider in the nation and retained Accenture to help navigate this merger through a reduction in Capital and Operational expenditures.

How I Helped

To provide oversight across multiple locations, I created a Master Program Plan that encompassed the decommission and transition of satellite sites across U.K., Abu Dhabi, London, Amsterdam, and St. Louis, while simultaneously standing up a separate system in Westminster, CO.

The program was decomposed into two project plans which I analyzed and tied together through milestone inter-dependencies, where applicable.

A regular weekly cadence allowed me to provide management with visibility into the progress of the program via status decks.

Outcome

  • The Client saved $2MM+ in M&A synergy
  • All satellite offices were successfully decommissioned
  • Transition of mission-critical satellite imagery system successfully re-located to new secondary location and stood up
